Join us for the Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Workshop, where participants will engage in advanced firearms instruction tailored specifically for law enforcement firearms training.
Course Title: Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Development
Course Description:
If you are an LE Firearms Instructor, regardless of your experience, you may realize two critical points. 1) As the INSTRUCTOR, you may not be shooting as much anymore since you’re busy teaching, and 2) You may not be receiving ongoing, advanced firearms instruction, despite what some may say. It’s common to hear, "Oh, you've already attended a Firearms Instructor Class, so no further training is necessary."
BOTH ARE WRONG. This comprehensive firearms instructor workshop is tailored for current law enforcement firearms instructors aiming to enhance their instructional effectiveness, refine shooting performance, and uplift training standards within their agencies. The course focuses on identifying and rectifying common instructional deficiencies recognized nationwide, while reinforcing the fundamental principles that ensure safe, consistent, and effective firearms training.
Participants will revisit essential marksmanship principles, including grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and follow-through, emphasizing the diagnosis of shooter errors and the application of corrective coaching techniques. Building on this solid foundation, the workshop introduces methods to improve both speed and accuracy through structured drills and performance-based training.
The course also delves into advanced skill development, including shooting on the move, engaging targets from various positions, and functioning effectively under realistic stress conditions. Instructors will learn how to create and implement stress-inducing scenarios that safely mimic real-world encounters, enhancing officer readiness and decision-making.
A vital component of the workshop is the development and evaluation of agency-specific training standards. Participants will investigate best practices for establishing measurable performance benchmarks, maintaining accountability, and ensuring consistency across law enforcement firearms training programs.
By the end of the workshop, attendees will be equipped with practical tools, updated methodologies, and a deeper understanding of how to deliver high-quality firearms instruction that bolsters officer performance, safety, and confidence in the field.
